Product introduction:
Reducing coupling in grooved piping systems are devices that provide a restrained piping connection while reducing(inceasing) pipe sizes.It is a transition whereby dissimilar sizes can be mated through a single device. After the pipe ends are grooved a rubber gasket that is suitable the system is strencheed over the pipe ends.The coupling segments are then placed over the gasket and the bolts and the nuts are fastened resulting in a secure and leak free joint.
Ductile Iron construction,
Non-lead orange paint,
conforms to ASTM A 536,
UL LISTED, FM Approved.
Certificates:
Heat treated and electro galvanized bolts with oval neck, and heavy duty hexagon nuts.
Track head meet to the physical and chemical requirements of ASTM A-449 and physical requirements of ASTM A-183.
Rubber Gasket
Standard: Grade "E" EPDM (Color code: Green stripe)
Temperature range -30°F to +230°F (-34°C to +110°C). Recommended for cold and hot water service within the specified temperature range plus a variety of dilute acids, oil-free air and many chemical services. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR PETROLEUM SERVICES.
Optional: Grade "T" Nitrile NBR (Color code: Orange stripe)
Temperature range -20°F to +180°F (-29°C to +82°C). Recommended for petroleum products, air with oil vapors, vegetable and mineral oils within the specified temperature range. Not recommended for hot water services over +150°F (+66°C) or for hot dry air over +140°F (+60°C).
